❄️ Freeze-Dried FAQs
What are freeze-dried foods?
They’re just regular food with the water taken out. I freeze it, then dry it slow so the flavor and nutrients stay where they belong. You’re left with real food—no added sugar, no junk.
How long do freeze-dried foods last?
If you store them right—sealed up and kept dry—they can last five years or longer. I like to keep extras on hand for busy weeks, church events, or when groceries get pushed back.
Do I need to cook or soak them?
You don’t have to. Most are great straight from the jar. They’re light, crunchy, and kid-friendly. If you want to rehydrate them, just add a little water and wait a few minutes—great in oatmeal, smoothies, or baking.
What’s the difference between freeze-dried and dehydrated?
Freeze-dried food holds more nutrients and stays light and crisp. Dehydrated food is heavier and often loses more of its flavor. That’s why I freeze-dry—it stores better, tastes better, and works for real-life meals.
Can I freeze-dry at home?
Only if you’ve got a freeze dryer—and most people don’t. They’re huge and expensive. I’ve got the gear, so you don’t have to.
🌿 Microgreens FAQs
What are microgreens?
They’re tiny greens harvested just after sprouting—smaller than baby greens but packed with more flavor and nutrition. Think of them as fresh food you don’t have to overthink.
How do I store them?
Keep them in the fridge in a sealed container. They usually last 5 to 7 days. Some stay fresh longer depending on the variety and how they’re handled.
What’s the best way to use them?
No rules here. Add to eggs, sandwiches, tacos, wraps. Toss on top of dinner or stir into soup. You can even blend them into smoothies. They’re fresh, fast, and don’t need any prep.
Are they really that healthy?
Yes. Microgreens are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants—sometimes more than full-grown greens. You’re getting a lot of value in just a small handful.
Can I get live trays?
Yes. I offer 5×5 and 10×20 trays so you can harvest what you need when you need it. Just snip and eat. Nothing’s fresher.
